Chop Wood, Carry Arizona 7/5 š
Hi, all, and happy Tuesday.
First, I hope you had a good Fourthāor as good as it could be under these (extremely difficult) circumstances.
Second, welcome to my new subscribers. Iām so glad to see so many folks grabbing on to a key swing state like Arizona and digging in! It does my heart good. And my God, WE CAN WIN THERE! With your help, of course.
Speaking of which, let me get to why Iām writing: I know you all have access to the AZ resource doc (linked above), and I know youāve seen the phonebanks listed in there. But I also know that many of you have never clicked on one.
And I get it. Phone banking can seem scary as hell. But itās a really critical part of how we win elections.Ā
So I wanted to send you an invitation to something thatās not AZ-specific, and not a phonebank per se, butĀ key to our winning in ArizonaĀ (and everywhere.) Itās a training called:
Phone Bank Training for Introverts
Iāve heard nothing but amazing stuff about this workshop, yāall. Hereās the description:
Phone banking is the most effective way to connect with voters besides canvassing. But what if you're not very comfortable calling strangers?Ā
Graduates of this supportive workshop say it's one of the best trainings ever.Ā Led by three introverts-who-phone-bank, it begins with key skills that introverts already have and shows you how to build on them.
In this workshop you will learn:
š² How to make use of key skills that you already have, such as the ability to listen thoughtfully and understand other introverts
š² How to make meaningful one-to-one connections
š² How to deal with common phone banking challenges
š² How to make phone banking fun, even for introverts
The training is onĀ Wednesday, July 13 fromĀ 5 ā 6:45pm PDT. If youāve never phonebanked before please consider signing up. You donāt even have to commit to using what you learnājust go find out more, please?
November gets more life-or-death by the day. We have to win big. Please consider taking this next step in your activism to help us do just that.
More very soon, brave people.
All my best.
Jess

Thank you for your continued hard work!
