Hi, Team Arizona!
First of all, thanks to the many of you who signed up to write letters into Arizona with the Civics Center! Great to see such enthusiasm for that activity. That campaign has now closed, but if your writing fingers are itchy don’t forget that:
Activate America has postcarding for Ruben Gallego. Consider signing up for some addresses! Use your own postcards.
Northeast Arizona Native Democrats is writing to continue registering and engaging High Potential Native Democratic voters in Northeast Arizona. Get addresses here. This is a Mobilize link, but there is no actual meeting for this project. You will receive a list of 25 addresses via email on the Friday you choose. Use your own postcards.
Now, speaking of Ruben Gallego, I wanted to send you a save-the-date for what should be a great and inspiring event with him being held by Force Multiplier. Technically it’s a fundraiser but you can give any amount to attend. Here’s the invite:
Meet Rep. Ruben Gallego from the battleground state of Arizona
This race is one of those that will determine whether we can maintain our majority in the Senate. Your contribution will make a difference.
Rep. Gallego is running a close race in critical battleground state Arizona. His opponent will be election denier MAGA Republican Kari Lake, who barely lost the gubernatorial race in 2022 + is still claiming she won. He may also be opposed by now Independent Sen Krysten Sinema, who has not yet declared if she will run. Rep. Gallego has been a member of Congress for five sessions, since 2015.
Arizona is a tight battleground state that Joe Biden won by 0.3% in 2020 + Democratic Governor Katie Hobbs won by 0.7% in 2022.
Monday February 5, 7:15-8:15pm ET On Zoom
REGISTER + DONATE (remember, you can donate any amount and go.)
Finally, here’s the new ad being run against Kyrsten Sinema in AZ by the Replace Sinema PAC. I think you’ll appreciate it.
More soon!
Jess
P.S. — I notice a few of you have pledged to become paying subscribers to this newsletter if it ever goes paid. It won’t—I don’t feel I send it out often enough to justify it. If you’d like to support my work financially there are various ways you can do so, on either a monthly or one-time basis, here. And thanks!
